Maps of London

We’ve been using Google maps to find Pudding Lane, where the great fire of London began. We compared London to Waltham, and used our noticing skills to identify churches, roads, parks and railways near to Pudding Lane. We made our own maps of Pudding Lane. We added the river Thames too.

We’ve started to look at the great fire of London today. We read Samuel Pepys’ diary, imagining how he would have felt, and what he would have seen, smelt and heard. We made paintings of the great fire. We cut out silhouettes of buildings with windows… We think they look great!
